Gallery

Gallery Lammert Boerma was opened in 1993 and shows the life and art of the Groninger visual artist Lammert Boerma (1948). The gallery and museum are located in Borgercompagnie (Gr.), a peat-colonial village, where Boerma was born as a farmer's son. The complex has approximately 450m² floor space. This is spread over 13 rooms, including exhibition spaces, studios, workshop and living areas. On display are paintings, portraits, sculptures, drawings and photos colored with oil paint, black and white photos (own recordings). In fact, the life, work and living of Boerma is shown. In short, functioning as an artist. A kind of contemporary Rubens-Rembrandt house with the difference that this artist is still alive.
